To prepare quality matcha, follow these steps:
1. Sift 2 grams of matcha (about 1 teaspoon) to avoid lumps.
2. Add hot water (70-80°C, definitely not boiling) – approximately 80 ml for concentrated matcha (usucha).
3. Whisk with a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a "W" shape until you obtain a fine foam.
4. Enjoy immediately to take advantage of all its flavors and benefits.
For a milder matcha, add more water or milk for a matcha latte or even vanilla syrup for example.
It can have a grassy taste if the quality is lower, but we have carefully chosen our supplier to offer you a matcha without a grassy taste . In the best qualities of matcha, this "grassy" taste is often balanced by sweeter, umami notes, which give a rich and savory flavor.
